Lighting day for night

Anyone have a clue how to do this?

I do. It's all in controlling the lighting. Basically, you're going to shoot during the day and make it look like it's night time. This is done in a number of ways:
Dim the lighting in the room and, using a low-light capable camera, shoot your footage then in post production, use a blue tint over the footage to give the impression of night...

Or this alternate way:
Shoot regular light and use blue lighting instead of white (5600 kelvin).
You have to cover the windows and anything that allows outside light into the frame.

That's it.
